Just a bored guy looking for a weekend of excitement
My best friend and I headed to FIJI for a long weekend to celebrate my 19th birthday. This is a little vlog of some of the stuff we got up to... You can read more about my time in Fiji here http://tiyanaj.com/travel/oceania/long-weekend-fiji/ PS: This was the first video I ever made/edited for YouTube: please excuse my poor editing skills. I've definitely improved in the last 2 years!
A quick weekend get away with two of my good friends. We stayed at the beautiful Sheraton Fiji Resort, enjoyed all the great amenities the property featured. From swimming all day to baking in the sun, and the cheeky cream bun runs to The hot bread kitchen. It was a great weekend, and here's a quick snippet of that. Pray for Fiji - At least 10 people are dead and more are missing after Cyclone Winston, the most powerful storm ever recorded in the Southern Hemisphere, slammed into the Pacific island nation of Fiji this weekend. Bolstered by the warm waters around the island nation, Winston boasted Category 5 winds of 287 km/h, gusting to more than 350 km/h, shortly before landfall on Fiji's main island of Vitu Levu. Wave heights around 12 m were seen in some areas. Flood warnings and alerts remain in effect for parts of the island chain. Mudslides are also a concern for the saturated ground.
After the 28-22 Rugby League World Cup defeat to Tonga last weekend, the Kiwis won't be taking their next opponents Fiji lightly in their quarter final in Wellington. Speaking to media today, forward Joseph Tapine spoke about a dangerous Fiji side, capable of causing another upset on the wounded Kiwis. "Fiji are a tough side," he said. "We've got to adjust a little bit. We'll definitely do our video on them and prepare as best as we can." Tapine also spoke about the role of Fiji's supporters, expected to turn out in large numbers for the Wellington quarter-final. "All the Polynesian countries come out for their teams." "We won't expect anything less and are looking forward to the challenge." Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/OneNewsNewZealand/
Project Location: SIGATOKA or VITOGO or KEIYASI Most of our Projects are currently being incubated in Sigatoka, with the exception of FarmEd II and Waste Assessment, where we are currently exploring the option of moving these projects to the Vitogo area. Fuel Assessment is split across Sigatoka and Keiyasi, a major village in the interior. Accommodation Accommodation is very basic, generally comprising a small kitchen, bathroom, workspace and bedrooms. The bedrooms are a bunk-style layout and the kitchen has basic appliances, including a stove cooktop. The bathrooms are likely to be cold-water only and be aware that some areas operate with bucket only showers. The electricity and water frequently cuts out due to poor infrastructure. The water pipes are often closed during periods of he...
